Who Should You Partner With: God or Evil? Choosing God's Way

"Choose you this day whom ye will serve." — Joshua 24:15

Every day, we make choices.

Some choices seem small and insignificant, while others can completely change the direction of our lives. One of the most important choices we will ever make is who we choose to partner with—God or evil.

The Bible presents two opposing kingdoms: the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness.

The kingdom of God is the kingdom of light, truth, righteousness, and life. The kingdom of darkness represents rebellion against God, deception, destruction, and ultimately death.

The choice may seem obvious, yet many people are drawn toward darkness because they want quick results.

They don't want to wait.

They don't want a process.

They want immediate success, money, power, influence, or solutions.

But what looks like a shortcut can eventually become a trap.

Partnering With God Requires Patience

Walking with God is often a process.

You may pray and not see an immediate answer.

You may obey God and still experience difficulties.

You may follow His instructions and wonder why things are taking so long.

But there is something powerful about God's process: what He builds is worth the wait.

When you are deeply rooted in God, the storms of life may shake you, but they do not have to destroy you.

A tree with deep roots can withstand storms that would uproot a shallow plant.

The same principle applies spiritually.

The deeper your relationship with God becomes, the stronger you become.

What Does God Ask From Us?

God asks us to give Him first place in our lives.

Before money.

Before fame.

Before relationships.

Before possessions.

Before our personal ambitions.

God comes first.

This may sound like a sacrifice, but God's request is actually for our benefit.

God does not need us to remain God.

He is not losing anything by asking us to put Him first.

Rather, He knows that when we put Him first, we are positioned to experience His purpose and provision for our lives.

Jesus said:

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." — Matthew 6:33

What Does Darkness Offer?

The enemy often presents shortcuts.

It may look attractive because the results appear immediate.

But every shortcut has a cost.

What initially appears to be an opportunity may eventually become a source of bondage, fear, destruction, or regret.

The enemy does not have your best interests at heart.

The Bible describes Satan as a thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, while Jesus came to give abundant life (John 10:10).

This is why spiritual discernment is so important.

Not everything that looks like an opportunity is from God.

Not every open door is a door you should enter.

Not every quick solution is worth accepting.

God's Blessings Come With Peace

When God gives, His blessings are not designed to destroy your peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:14 reminds us that what God does endures forever.

God's gifts are not simply about what we receive today. They are connected to His greater purpose for our lives.

A person may gain wealth, influence, or a position through questionable means, but what happens to their peace afterward?

What happens when fear takes over?

What happens when they have to constantly protect what they acquired?

What happens when the very thing they wanted becomes a source of misery?

True success should not cost you your relationship with God.

The Enemy Does Not Love You

This is an important truth to understand.

The enemy does not love humanity.

Although darkness may sometimes present itself as powerful, protective, or attractive, its ultimate purpose is contrary to God's purpose for mankind.

Human beings were created in the image and likeness of God.

That alone should make us understand why the enemy seeks to deceive and destroy.

Do not be deceived by appearances.

Something can look powerful and still be destructive.

Something can produce quick results and still have terrible consequences.

What About Our Heavenly Father?

God is our Creator and Father.

He created humanity in His image and continues to show His goodness even to those who do not acknowledge Him.

Jesus said:

"He maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." — Matthew 5:45

Every day, people experience God's goodness through life, nature, provision, relationships, opportunities, and countless blessings they may not even recognize.

God has made provision for humanity to know Him through Jesus Christ and to receive the help of the Holy Spirit.

God Does Not Promise a Trouble-Free Life

Choosing God does not mean you will never experience difficult times.

There will be seasons of waiting.

There will be disappointments.

There will be battles.

There will be moments when you wonder why God has not answered your prayers yet.

But you don't have to walk through those seasons alone.

Jesus said:

"In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." — John 16:33

This is not an empty promise.

It is an invitation to trust the One who has already overcome.

You Have a Choice

One of the greatest gifts God has given humanity is the ability to choose.

God will not force you to follow Him.

You have to make the decision.

You can pursue quick results through questionable means, or you can trust God's process.

You can choose temporary gain, or you can pursue lasting purpose.

You can follow darkness, or you can walk in the light.

The choice is yours.

Look in the Right Place

Sometimes people miss what God has provided because they are looking in the wrong direction.

God has already given us His Word.

He has given us access to prayer.

He has given us the Holy Spirit.

He has given us wisdom.

He has given us Jesus Christ.

The question is whether we will seek what He has provided.

If you are looking for peace, seek God.

If you are looking for direction, seek God.

If you need wisdom, seek God.

If you need strength, seek God.

If you want to understand your purpose, seek God.

His Word provides guidance, and the Holy Spirit helps us understand and apply it.

The question is not simply, "Who can give me what I want?"

The more important question is:

"Who do I want to build my life with?"

Quick results are not always good results.

A shortcut is not always a blessing.

And something that looks attractive today may become a burden tomorrow.

Choose God.

Trust His process.

Follow His instructions.

Allow Him to shape your character.

Even when you cannot see the whole picture, remember that God sees the beginning and the end.

The kingdom of darkness may promise shortcuts, but Jesus offers something far greater: truth, peace, purpose, salvation, and eternal life.

Choose wisely.

Choose God over evil. Choose the light over darkness. Choose life.
