Fear, the Weapon of the Devil
Fear, as some people will say, is false evidence appearing real.
In such cases, you will be seeing or hearing things happening, but the line between such things coming to pass or not is very thin.
Faith is what makes an evil deed not come to pass, while fear makes evil occurrences happen.
One could then say that fear is the opposite of faith.
In previous posts, I have written about how strong faith is and the benefits that come with having strong faith.
In this world, we fight battles, and each of these battles is spiritual.
As written in previous posts, before something can occur in the physical realm, it would already have taken place spiritually.
If one is able to sense an evil occurrence spiritually before the physical effect is seen, a turnaround will occur when you engage the weapon of faith and prayer.
Any believer in this world without faith is at risk of being injured or cut down.
It’s like soldiers being in a battle without their guns.
Faith is what quenches all the fiery darts that the enemy fires at us.
Also, when we have such faith, we please God because without faith, it is impossible to please God.
As faith is the weapon for a believer, fear, with its tricks, is all the devil has.
The devil has no power against those that are children of God, but the devil has power over those that work in sin because they belong to him.
The Devil's Power
When Jesus went to hell during His death, He stripped the devil of all the power he had against God’s people, which the devil stole from Adam.
The very hell that Satan lives in, Jesus has the key, thereby making the devil himself a captive.
Those who follow the devil and believe they can get something good from him are living in lies.
Their master is also a captive.
Jesus has the key of death and hell (Revelation 1:18), so the devil has no power over believers.
The devil uses fear as his weapon to gain access to people’s lives.
Once one becomes a victim of fear, he/she has given permission to the devil to do whatsoever he wants with that person’s life.
So many things are happening around the world today.
Various news, occurrences, and these things are causing people to panic and feed fear into people’s lives.
Rather than focusing on evil reports, why not focus on the good and stick to what God’s Word says about the situation?
This will enable you to live a healthier and more fulfilling life than the rest of the world.
This will also help to grow your faith.
Everything you receive from God is according to your faith.
Fear is in every part of the world, but even in dark times, only the children of light, with their faith intact, can shine, thereby turning people to the true God.
Don't Sell to Fear
Even as things look dark now, never give up.
Rather than looking at things that would instill fear into you, set your eyes on things that will help you build your faith in God.
Remember that:
“God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
— 2 Timothy 1:7
From this verse, we can deduce that both fear and faith are spiritual forces.
Well, this shouldn’t be strange because though we live in a physical world, we are spiritual beings and should be more in tune with our spiritual nature.
That is where the profit is.
Thank God He searches the heart of man.
When He sees your heart is true towards Him and you are ready to be used as a vessel unto honour, then your light will begin to shine.
